Robust bicycle parking with rich biodiverse growing roofs and wildlife habitat panels. A genuine green-roofed solution to bike parking.
For workplace or residential bike storage, our green-roofed cycle shelters add much more benefit and interest than flimsy, plastic-roofed shelters.
Shelters are delivered planted and complete, and are simply craned off the delivery lorry into position, and are ready for use.
Residential or Workplace
Whether the need to get bicycles out of stairwells and common spaces in flats, or provide convenient secure covered storage for bicycles at work, our robust structures add wildlife potential and colour from low maintenance roof planting and integrated wildlife habitat.
Biodiverse Planting
We plant a drought-tolerant mix of 64+ plant species on each roof, that are nectar-rich for butterflies, bees, moths and other invertebrate wildlife. Planting and habitat can be tailored to locality, or specific Biodiversity Action Plan (BAP) species.
Strong & Robust
The shelters have to be very strong to carry the 1.5 – 2 tons of soil on the roof, so they are not typical flimsy shelters.
Green Roof Shelters provide a planted space for wildlife that can be seen but not frequently disturbed, with nesting opportunities on the exterior.
The absorbent green roofs have the added benefit of moderating urban flooding.
Locking Bars
Cycle locking bars are securely attached to the shelter – so no extra ground work, and no litter trapping.
Green Roof Shelters only produce good quality secure cycleparking stands that allow the locking of both wheels and frame – as required by all expert test standards.
Modular Design
The shelter units are modular – multiples are used to make much larger installations.
Habitat Panels
Wildlife habitat panels provide nesting and refuge for different species, adding space for wildlife, and alongside interpretation create biodiversity awareness.
Bird boxes are for blue tits & great tits, and social nesting boxes for sparrows.
Moveable
When needed, shelters are straightforward to relocate as future circumstances dictate (with a HIAB equipped lorry).
